Beyond Walls: An Art Basel Conversation on Creativity, Community, and Space
Posted on 12/19/25

On Wednesday, December 3, DCOTA was proud to present Beyond Walls, an engaging and thought-provoking discussion held during Art Basel at Loews Miami Beach. The event brought together creatives, collectors, and design leaders for a morning of meaningful conversation at the intersection of art, space, and community.

Presented in partnership with the Design Leadership Network (DLN) and Galerie Magazine, Beyond Walls was moderated by Jacqueline Terrebonne of Galerie Magazine and featured Jonathan Carver Moore, respected gallerist and founder of JCM Fine Art. Together, they explored how art transcends traditional gallery walls and how intentional spaces can foster accessibility, connection, and cultural dialogue.

The conversation resonated deeply with attendees, sparking insight into the evolving role of artists, gallerists, and institutions in shaping inclusive creative environments. From South Florida creatives to visitors in town for Art Basel programming, the room was filled with a dynamic mix of perspectives, making for an energizing and inspiring exchange.

Events like Beyond Walls reflect DCOTA’s ongoing commitment to supporting the arts and design community through thoughtful programming and meaningful partnerships. As Art Basel energizes Miami each year, DCOTA remains a year-round destination for creativity, conversation, and collaboration.
